Despite continuous advances in medical technology, Dr. Imler and Dr. Leroux couldn’t help but notice that clinical decision-making felt like an individual struggle and remained highly variable, idiosyncratic, and error-prone. As physician leaders they saw healthcare organizations investing millions of dollars to establish best practices for clinical practice with little in return.
